WORLD BUTTON ACCORDION ASSOCIATION

 

World Button Accordion Association, Inc. (WBAA) was formed as an accordion organization by button accordion enthusiasts in August, 1991, in Richardson, Texas, USA.

WBAA is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization granted 501(C)(3) status by the Internal Revenue Service. Donations to the organization are tax-deductible. (Note that no officer or member of the Board of Directors receives a salary) WBAA celebrated its fourteenth anniversay August 29, 2005.

WBAA publishes a quarterly newsletter, "Button Accordion News", and the first issue was published December, 1991. As of December 31, 2005, 57 WBAA newsletters have been published. These newletters contain 562 articles about button accordions, which is more information than is found in any other publishing source of the world. Included in these articles are "Examination and Review" - studies of exterior and interior punctions of numerous types of button accordions built in numerous countries around the world. WBAA newsletter also acts as a forum for members to discuss button accordion issues. Previously published WBAA newsletters are available to USA members at a cost of $3.00 each.

Membership Information: USA member - $15.00; Foreign Member - $25.00

New members received a new WBAA membership card and the quarterly newsletter, "Button Accordion News".
